Staying mum on Forsyth controversy despite January’s jump in bad press
anuary was the first time in the last 12 months Red River College considered its media coverage negative overall — and then only by a hair.
And that was pretty much the closest the college’s board of governors came Wednesday night to discussing or acknowledging the ongoing controversy into former president Stephanie Forsyth and her spending and firing habits.
College advancement officer Kim Jasper reported to the monthly board meeting that by RRC’s own internal reckoning, there was an anomaly in January of net negative media coverage.
Barely.
And the negative coverage lasted only three days around the release of a provincial review into the college.
