Festival du Voyageur is underway, marking its 56th year with a strong start on Friday night, celebrating French Canadian and Indigenous cultures.

The Festival’s Marketing Director Chantal Vielfaure has been attending since she was young and has now been a part of the team for four years.

Born and raised in La Broquerie, she has a deep connection to the traditions celebrated at Festival du Voyageur.

While the heart of the Festival beats in Winnipeg, surrounding communities also embrace the traditions.
