Newcomers experience Indigenous Education with guest speaker Shawn Charlebois – PembinaValleyOnline

English language classes at Regional Connections (RC) welcomed Indigenous guest speaker and founder/operator of Red Road Compass (RRC), Shawn Charlebois to provide valuable teaching in November.

Shawn Charlebois was born in New Brunswick and is French Acadian Mi’kmaq. He currently lives in Swan River, Manitoba.

According to the RRC website, “He has over 25 years’ experience working in Indigenous Education, Employment and Training, an Interdisciplinary Masters Degree in Indigenous Studies, Applied Anthropology and History with a specialization in Community-Based Programming, Part-Time Instructor for University College of the North with focus on Indigenous studies and Canadian history as well as Indigenous focused counselling.”
