HALIFAX _ Elie Phillip Hoyeck faces a charge of criminal negligence causing death in the case of 58-year-old Peter Kempton’s death. Kempton died from burns after a car he was working on burst into flames in September 2013 at Hoyeck’s auto body shop. It is the first use of the so-called Westray law in Nova Scotia.
