Woman offered to donate lobe of liver to 11-year-old girl in need, wasn’t match
A Winnipeg family is still desperately searching for a liver donor for their 11-year-old daughter, after a possible transplant fell through earlier this week.
Allexis Siebrecht has a rare, life-threatening liver disease and needs a liver transplant. Her family appealed to the public through a GoFundMe page, and Winnipegger Samantha Lussier stepped up to help.
The 25-year-old had never met Siebrecht, but went through the testing process to donate her liver anyway.
