MMF says all business trips to the United States have been cancelled.
U.S. President Donald Trump is moving forward with plans to impose 25 tariffs on imports from Canada and Mexico into the U.S. starting Tuesday.
In response to looming tariff threats, Manitoba Métis Federation (MMF) President David Chartrand said the MMF is re-assessing its operations.
“We are doing a complete review of all our supply chains–where we get them from, what we’re purchasing, how many are American-owned, how many are in the supply chain that’s connected with American products,” Chartrand said in a Monday interview. “We’re looking at every facet of our operations.”
