Opportunity for SCO Youth: Join Manitoba’s Student Advisory Council
February 20, 2025
Attention First Nations youth! Do you want to make a positive impact in education?
The Manitoba government is looking for young people, in grades 9 to 12, to help shape the future of education in the province.
Apply now to be part of the 2025-26 Student Advisory Council.
Share what matters most to you and your community, ensuring First Nations perspectives are heard loud and proudly.
Being a part of the Council means engaging with government leaders to discuss what works well and what needs improvement. You’ll advocate for real changes that reflect your traditions, languages, and histories. Plus, you’ll develop leadership skills.
Past Council members have influenced initiatives, such as improving remote learning, tackling racism in schools, and integrating technology in meaningful ways.
The Council will begin meeting in August 2025 for a one-year term.
